Ani Maghakyan

Ani Hamlet Maghakyan (born June 3, 1988, in Vanadzor, Armenia) is an Armenian screenwriter, prose writer, journalist and educator. She began writing prose and working as a journalist at sixteen, and has authored more than 700 articles, interviews and short stories. Her professional screenwriting career began in 2016.

Her work lets drama and humour occupy the same frame, while characters resist simple divisions into heroes and villains. Each story is engineered from its ending backwards, with a clear dramatic foundation.
